Amnesia nightclub is one of the most popular nightspots in Ocho Rios. Amnesia is open Wednesday to Sunday night and specialises in Jamaican dancehall music, however, one night a week (usually Sundays) is oldies night, playing reggae sounds from the 70s and 80s. Live bands and celebrity deejays quite regularly appear at Amnesia.
Inside the club there are 2 dance floors and an open-air patio terrace, a range of food vendors usually congregate outside of Amnesia selling tasty post-club meals.
The clientele of Amnesia are mostly Jamaican and the club has a good reputation among the local community. Amnesia has been going strong since 1989.
